We went to visit the Brown Family and see Mina’s Farewell talk, she is gonna do an online Mission MTC.
We were able to go stay at the Country Club, which is really close to their house.
The first morning I went on a run around the loop, it was a lovely view. Reed and I went and looked at properties for fun, then went to the Bloomington Walmart - and didn’t wear masks like rebels. We challenged ourselves and tried to get enough food to satisfy the family but not overspend and be wasteful.
It was a wonderful place to stay at. We came to find out that Aunt Lana was working at the pool all day there (my sis- is such a hard working young lady), which was literally like a could yards away.
Maria and all of her kids came and had a fun time. She is such a good Homeschooling momma that doesn’t let her kids do YOuTube or video games.
Grandma and Grandpa popped in for a little and later hooked up Levi and reed with a soda (DP&Dew)
My mom is a hardworking lady:) She is ‘managing’ an assisted living facility lately, the head nurse. So we can just call her boss lady!
I love seeing my dad with his white beard, he is the most inviting person that I know. I love him 😍
Sunday Morning was relaxing, made our breakfast and got things going for the Farewell. There were a couple sessions so we went to the 10:30 one.
We saw a lot of family when we got there, it was almost a little mini reunion. Masks were hard to figure out so I brought in Reed’s duster (gator), everyone else had a mask on except us, Dopps and my parents.
It was so wonderful to start sacrament out with singing! I got a little teary eyed because we sang 3 hymns, it was great! Mina’s talk & testimony was about mental illness and finding trust in the lord and how his family programs helped her with her PTSD. It was such great insight and was wonderful to hear her testimony about the gospel bringing color back into her life.
The Stake President got up and spoke about how she is gonna be a blessing to people of her mission wards, because we all are gonna have some PTSD from this year & being a life line for those individuals that the Lord is helping. ((The Truck, Ship or Helicopter quote, where the man was sending people to help, but they weren’t in the way the man was expecting))
Afterwards, we went the the villa we were staying at for a bit. Then headed to the Browns for a yummy Lunch! It was wonderful seeing family and some of the Brown Family. John and Emma even flew in For a little with Blake. So we snapped some pictures:)
I kept calling Lana to get her over here. I am gonna say some prayers for Lana, she feels like she wants a change soon. She is such a great support to her AA community, leading meetings and I believe being a sponsor for like 6 people. Also working 3 jobs, wow! 💪🏽
After talking to Tanya about Sourdough Bread for a while, Tyler’s Oldest sister. We gave lots of hugs & went back to the C.C. Pool one last time with these kiddos :)
*I cannot figure out how to add the photos that I want to so I will try when I get home*on my laptop
